Latin countries have given us so much! I mean where would civilization be without the Brazilian bikini wax, highlights, tequila, and South American cuisine? Why not borrow another custom to celebrate the new year? One of the most popular New Year’s traditions involves buying new matching underwear in a certain color to determine what kind of experience you will have in the new year. You can certainly keep to wearing your choice of color in underwear or try your shade in your new year’s outfit!

A few options include yellow (the most popular) which represents prosperity, wealth and success; red represents passion and romance; pink represents luck in love; white means a year of peace, harmony and happiness; blue represents good health; and finally, green means a year of better luck. I’ve picked out a few chic dresses to ring in the new year but feel free to incorporate your choice hue in any way!
