57TH PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION: What They Wore…
by The Curvy Socialite
As the world watches the pomp and circumstance celebrating the beginning of President Obama’s second term, the fashion world is all a buzz about the style that is on display today at the 57th Presidential Inauguration.
The First Lady of the United States was already making headlines this week with her new haircut. The beauty world all agrees that bangs suit her perfectly. But today…the fashion world is raving about the fabulous custom Thom Browne coat Michelle Obama she sported at the public swearing in ceremony earlier today. Adding a bit of flair and showing off her fabulous curves, Mrs. Obama added an ornate belt from her go to retailer, J Crew. Under the beautiful coat, the FLOTUS wore a Thom Browne dress and Reed Krakoff cardigan
The beautiful Obama girls looked very stylish in their purple wool coats. Malia rocked a plum J Crew coat while lil’ sis, Sasha sported a liliac Kate Spade coat. Looking pretty and age appropriate, these two ladies are following in their mom’s footsteps as fashionistas in training.
Purple seemed to be the color of the day with Kelly Clarkson, who performed My Country Tis of Thee, wearing a purple scarf to compliment her beautiful burgundy swing coat. Also serenading the crowd, King Bey wore an exquisite Pucci gown as she sang a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem. She walked in on the arm of her husband, Jay Z, in a gorgeous Christian Dior coat.
Other fashion favorites from today’s festivities include pop sensation Katy Perry In a striped Rodarte coat from the brand’s 2012 Fall collection and the ever stylish Eva Longoria who stepped out in a blush colored leather trench coat.
Now the fashion world is waiting with baited breath to see which designer creation the First Lady will wear tonight at the inauguration balls.
