The Scoop | Idris Elba Takes Hiatus From Acting To Focus On Music Career

Our favorite British import, actor Idris Elba, has decided to take a break from the golden paved roads of Hollywood to focus more on his budding music career.

According to UK newspaper The Daily Mirror, the Luther star , who many are hoping will become the first black James bond, states:

“This year I’m not going to work as an actor so I can concentrate on music. I do it from the heart, not for the money.”

Already an accomplished musician, who has released a slew of mixtapes and constantly deejays high profile events, “DJ Driis” is currently completing a seven week residency at a popular London nightclub.
