Fit into that fly dress: Winter Fitness
One of the hardest parts of keeping that sexy figure is working out during the winter. If you are like me you do not relish the idea of running in 30 degree weather. Been there, done that, no likey!! lol Here are some ideas on training indoors effectively.
Treadmill: Thirty minutes to an hour of cardio on the treadmill can be torture so here is one way to get thru it. I start off at a jog pace to warm up and increase my mph by .5 every 10 minutes for an easier run or every 5 minutes for a harder run. This gives you a slight change to look forward to and passes the time.
Stairs / Stair Stepper: The stair stepper is a good alternative to running hills and its great for your legs. Now if you live in an apartment building hit the stairs in your building or your parking garage ramp (watch out for cars please).
Elliptcal: This is another great option. You still get the running, cyclical pattern and can add incline to increase difficulty. Keep in mind going backwards on the elliptical works the hamstrings and butt.
Lastly, invest in an IPad or MP3 player and download upbeat music. I have multiple workout playlists to keep me going!
