Winter Hair Trends For 2013….. by Stylist Yvette Giorgi

Winter Hair Trends For 2013

Dont Be Afraid Of Some Color-

Rich deep tones such as Amber, rust and rich mahogany, all bring out the warmth in your skin.

For lighter skin tones light amber and rust tones are great. They can be used for all over color, a single process or even in panel color/block coloring to create wide slices of vibrancy.

For medium skin tones some slices of mahogany highlights or lowlights work just fine.

For darker skin use tones such as a rich red violet, chocolate cherry, or nutmeg to spice things up!

Revamp Your Cut-

No need for that one length boring style! This winter add some movement to your hair by getting a great, layered haircut. You could also do a side fringe bang, which adds softness to the face.

Layers are a great way to help jazz up a haircut. When styling layered hair with waves or curls, it displays a creative and organic look. It shows movement and makes it more manageable.

Add Some Volume & Texture-

Pump up the volume by using a great volumizing spray.  Aquage Texturizing Sea Salt is perfect to achieve a voluminous look.  Start by applying sea salt spray to clean damp hair. Spray a generous amount from base to ends, comb through with a wide toothcomb. Let dry naturally or use a diffuser on low heat to enhance the curl pattern.

Complete The Look With Haute Makeup-

The cat eye is back!  The best way to get this look is with liquid eyeliner.  It is a sure way to get a precise, clean line every time. One of my personal favorites is Tigi’s precision black eyeliner pen.  Quick tip: only play up one feature of your face. For example, if you are deciding to use bold and bright colors on your eyes, you most likely want to go with a neutral or softer lip shade and visa verse.

Great cat (wing eye) by blogger @yourglamgoddess!  She used Maybelline eyeliner and MAC Rebel Lipstick for this look!

Enjoy!!
