“Incredible forces and influences shaped my style of photography and change and growth,” Dallas says. Though he’s been involved in aspects of photography for almost thirty years, back in December of 2000, he made a vow to learn how to correctly operate an SLR. “I’ve always been into photography, and enjoyed it since I was in high school. I would save my money and buy the most expensive camera that I could afford (and all the while the button never left AUTO) ignorantly blissful for years. Remember those moments of low light when you took an image and the shutter stayed open? You thought something was wrong with your camera? Well, that was yours truly.” At the time Logan began toting a Nikon E5700 (as well as a Minolta Maxxum 7 film camera) on trips around the world. “They’ve been to Germany, Italy, London, Australia, Hawaii. I loved those cameras. No fuss, no muss. However, I was not a photographer at the time, just a man with a camera. I started using it to photograph people (nothing special, just something to enjoy). Then (as destiny saw to it), the Nikon died. I was heart- broken and because of that, I purchased my very first DSLR, a Sony A100 (the Minolta lenses were interchangeable). Once I purchased this camera my life changed.” He has since upgraded to a Hasselblad camera. To date, he shoots for all the major modeling agencies in New York City, Los Angeles, Italy and Paris, and his images as graced fashion magazines such as Bleu, Essence, XEX and Page21 and Hollywood Weekly. He has photographed the Makari makeup campaign, Glynn Jackson Hair Productions, Celestino Couture, Get Focused Fitness, YM Fitness, Porselene skin care products, Durant for Robert Durant clothing line as well as JS Dirty Underwear, Adha Zelma Jewelry, Euge Fashions, Laruicci by Lauren Ruicci, Black Ice Jewelry, Vaughn Jereaux Fashions, Euge Designs and Jumelle Designs, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and various hair salons and hair companies along the eastern seaboard. He is recently teaching lighting seminars known as “Light Is Light”
